CLASS DESCRIPTION:

The Staccato Pistol Performance class offers comprehensive, hands-on instruction designed to enhance each student’s proficiency through tailored techniques and focused coaching. The course will emphasizes understanding the individual student’s capabilities and limitations, allowing for targeted development in both fundamental and advanced skills. Through various drill and exercises, students will receive detailed feedback and personalized guidance to improve accuracy, speed and overall confidence. The curriculum is structured to build a solid foundation while identifying areas for growth, fostering a deeper awareness of personal performance under varied conditions.

Required Student Supplied Items:

  • PMO(Pistol Mounted Optic) Equipped Pistol.
  • 1000 rounds of ammunition.
  • Eye and ear protection.
  • 4 magazines.
  • Gun belt with holster and mag pouches.

Class time is 8am to 4pm each day. Please arrive 30 minutes early for check in.

Please bring a lunch and any snacks and drinks you may need.

Your Instructors:

Randy Tweedy

Randy Tweedy is a retired Deputy Sheriff with 25 years of service for the largest Sheriff’s Department in the world, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

He was a Full-Time Firearms Instructor in the Department’s Weapons Training Unit for 13 years.

His expertise is in training new Firearms Instructors, Pistol Mounted Optic Courses, new shooters (Academy Recruits), as well as a wide variety of all on-duty, off duty and back up weapons, concealed carry courses and patrol rifle training.

He was part of the team who were responsible for testing and getting Staccato 2011 pistols approved for Duty use for LASD.

Randy has worked with thousands of students from his own department and dozens of other outside Law Enforcement Agencies throughout the country.

Erik Wollin

Erik Wollin is a Deputy Sheriff with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department that has been serving in the Departments Weapons Training Unit for the last 8 years. Prior to entering Law Enforcement, Erik served as a

Paramilitary Contractor for various government agencies overseas. His military background includes service in both Conventional and Special Operations units.
